Maximus IV Extreme Rev 3.0 P8P67 Question

Hey guys, I made a thread a while back about a problem I have been having where my PC will double POST(start up, shut down, then reboot), and then freeze at the "Windows" screen if I have Internal PLL Overvoltage set to either "Enabled" or "Auto" with an overclock. I then have to hold the power button to shut it down completely again and try to boot once again.

The overclocks I use are stable as well, 12 hours in Prime95, no BSOD's at all... just this boot problem.

I've tried a handful of things to fix it such as resetting CMOS (removing motherboard battery as well), "Mason@ASUS'" fix for it by switching "Power on by PCIe" to Enabled, disabling all unused SATA controllers and other onboard devices, resetting RTC RAM from the jumper on the board, and disabling all OPROM's. All of which didn't solve the issue.

Here is the previous thread: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?22811-Maximus-IV-Extreme-self-reboot-and-lockup

I am on BIOS 2001, with my i7 2600K and my Maximus IV Extreme Rev 3.0.

My question to you guys is, is BIOS 2302 the latest version for Sandy Bridge chips such as my i7 2600K? (Not trying to use an Ivy Bridge BIOS version.) And will this version of BIOS fix this double POST problem i'm having while Internal PLL Overvoltage is either Enabled or on Auto?

A different BIOS version might be my last hope as I have tried so many things and it's been going on for so long now. I don't want to have to settle with a lower overclock just because I can't enable Internal PLL Overvoltage, it's really upsetting.

I hope someone is able to answer this, it would be greatly appreciated and really mean a lot to me.

Hope to hear from someone soon. 🙂
