Maximus IV Extreme B3, USB3 Manual question, data storage only?

In the manual I downloaded for the Maximus IV Extreme motherboard, part 2-53, the following is is stated about the USB3 ports and I wonder what it means:

"USB 3.0 devices can only be used as data storage only."

Edit: Nevermind what it means literally, I am wondering about any limitations that would be a consequence of "it" being used as "data storage only".

I suspect it means you can not use the port for your keyboard - however I am not quite sure what you are asking. I think I need at least ten more cups of coffee today.
