Maximus IV Extreme - 6950 doesn't show in BIOS

Hey all,

Just got a sweet new motherboard hoping for triple crossfire. Strangely, none of my 6950's allow the system to post. They all just throw a "VGA" light on the board. I took one of my older cards, a 4870x2, and threw it into the main slot, it boots and shows up normally. Stranger still, if I put the 6950s in the system I took the 4870x2 from, it boots normally.

I've tried swapping memory, using only one stick of RAM in the far right slot, ect.

I'm prepared to RMA the cards, but they seem to work? Any help would be great.

Which UEFI version are you using? If it is not the latest, flash UEFI by using the 4870X2 in place and then try the 6950s again.

Thanks for the fast reply! I was able to flash the BIOS using the EZ flash tool, or at least, I think I was. The BIOS date is still 8/23/11 despite the updated BIOSes on the site reading as October 10th.

Fun fact, my second card got here, and it works just fine (albeit at 8x) in the same slot. Two versions of the same card, nothing different about them. So odd. I guess they're going for RMA, even though the work in a different board.
