Maximus Hero VII display on Q-Led code 00

Hi I've being having this issues for ages were my system would be running just fine but the q-led code would display 00 constantly the only time where it wouldn't would be at boot at and when I'm in the bios. I've change motherboard, ram, cpu and hard drives just to try and fix this issue but it always the same regardless of what I try, so I contacted each manufacturer and asked if this was maybe an issue with the CPU since the error code indicates that the CPU in not in use and from what I was told it should not be the CPU fault since it works fine without any issues, so after countless attempts I nailed it down to it being a hard drive issue so what I did I bought a new SSD and did a fresh install of Windows 10 and is seemed to run well because it was finally displaying the Q-led code A0 with indicates that the system is running fine, but then after installing all the updates and starting up the Asus AI Suite 3 and running the fan tune up option it went back to the 00 code and the only way to fix it was to uninstall the whole suite and restart the system and then it would go back to A0. So please If anyone has an idea of what could be causing this issue please let me know.

Thanks.
Bye.

Hello pavilionGT

I've read people saying using the 5 way optimization causes code 00 when their pc is running fine.

A bios update could solve it but it seems you are on the latest version. I used ai suite for about a week when I first built my pc a few years ago, I permanently uninstalled it to never be installed again.

Hi thanks for the reply, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. The thing is after I learned that Ai Suite 3 did this I strait away uninstalled for good but then I realized that without the software I would not achieve the dead silent acoustics that I was getting with it, so that the only small issues that comes with not having the Ai Suite 3 and I tried using SpeedFan but it got worst up to the point were the Q-Led code would be stuck with 00 even if I uninstall the program or even formatted my whole drive and the only way to fix was to remove the battery on the motherboard for 5 minutes to reset the whole BIOS and then the Q-Led code went back to AO. Is there a reason why this issue occurs? And a possible fix for ti for it would a life saver.

Thanks.
Bye.

I don't want to deter you from using ai suite, some people use ai suite solely for the fan xpert. If your pc is working fine with no problems when displaying code 00 I might not be too concerned but it's obviously something to do with ai suite or 5 way optimization. You could try uninstalling or disabling 5 way optimization.

Give this a try and let us know if this fixes code 00 with ai suite 3.

This is what is shows after the Fan Xpert tunning.

Thanks for the reply, and I did a manual overclock in the BIOS i did not use the 5 way optimization I just use the Fan Xpert but I don't get why it does that, I'm really confused and annoyed. But I just used the fan xpert and it gave straight after being done it want from A0 to 00 and A0 was on for the whole time without any issues just this stupid fan xpert that does that.

Please help! :C

Thanks.

This is what it shows after I've uninstalled the whole AI Suite 3

Yep code A0 is what you want to see so we know your motherboard is working properly. 🙂

Even though you're not using the 5 way optimization try uninstalling or disabling it and see if that gets you to stay at code A0.

Thanks for reply, I've uninstalled the whole Suite and now it constantly at A0 even if I reinstalled it it would stay the same unless I used the Fan Xpert to tune my fans. the only thing causing my Q-led Code to go to 00 is the God damn fan Xpert that all nothing else in the Suite does that and I tried other fan speed software and it the same, It feels like if you mess with the fans that are connected to the motherboard and you get 00 and I had the same issue with my Asus Formula VII, so I feel like it the fans that cause this issue but don't get why the only thing that I do in the BIOS is use the QFan Utility that allows the BIOS to test the fans which is the same thing the Fan Xpert does so I don't know if they are interfering with each other or of it's something else.
Please help!

Thanks.

I don't have that feature but see if you can disable it in the bios or ai suite. I been researching this and I've come across some others saying they get code 00 when using fan xpert, I'm wondering if it's normal for it to go to code 00 when using fan xpert.

Either way I don't think it's doing any harm to your system or affecting it in any way.

If you can disable 5 way optimization let us know if that gets your motherboard to stay at code A0.
