maximus formula 7 audio problems??

I just got this board a couple of months ago and i haven't had any issues with it. There is one thing that's bothering me. Every time i shut down the pc or turn it on it makes a thump sound, the sound comes from the speakers. I have it connected to the green jack. I'm not sure if it's due to the amplifier that's pre installed on the board. Any one else have this issue??

have you got the new drivers installed? 7373 released on 5th Jan

If not, get it installed

if it happens with the latest driver, uninstall them and try the windows default driver

only reason i mention that is quite a few people had a number of audio issues with the last few audio drivers across the maximus range of mobos, which asus said they would be fixing in a future update

I'm on the Ranger, so I'm still stuck with the 7326 driver and I get a pop at boot up and shutdown (plus other issues)

I didnt know the drivers went up that high. I got the new one from the Asus website its driver 603i belive. Should i go to the realtek site and get the driver from there??

ok nevermind yea i have the latest audio driver. i just thought the board was defective. i just wanted to see if if any one else was experiencing this same problem before i tried to rma the board.
