Maximus 5 Formula the phantom A2 q-code

Hello,

I've got a very interesting problem, my mobo, a Maximus 5 formula recently decided it doesn't want to boot anymore and started spouting the A2 q-code.
I've checked cables(tested on 2 separate comps), I've bought a new ssd (it works on said machines), I've checked every port(they detect said ssd), everything works.

The boot process goes like this: pwr button -> comp starts -> hear POST sound -> rog splash screen -> A2 q code gets displayed -> black screen (its the "monitor is on" black screen) then it just sits there.
The funny thing is, if I cut the power from the PSU and wait until the lights on the board die off, then power back on and boot and spam the del key I manage to get in the bios. After that if I go in EZ mode, F5 and select the os drive it boots whiteout a hitch.

Also, I've tried switching between AHCI and IDE for the sata config, no dice.
I am so confused it isn't even funny.

Please send help

Sys Specs: 3770k, Samsung 850 Pro, Gigabyte gtx 770 4gb, 16gb Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer.

A team is on its way now 😉

Check boot drive is first in boot priority?

Maybe reflash BIOS bios flashback method

Maybe boot is corrupted? Clean install?

Boot drive is in first priority.
Tried ALL bios versions, still nothing.
It does the same thing with 2 ssd, one of which is brand new and is working on my other machine.
