M7F Wifi problems

I'm having issues when running the Wifi on my Maximus 7 Formula. When over my network it randomly pings out a laggs like crazy. Sometimes I will sustain extremely high ping times. I'm not having any issues with any of my other devices and set the machine to the DMZ even. I have the latest drivers and when I put the lan cable in, everything works fine.

I am having the same issue with my M7I. I get stupid high latency when pinging my router, like 500ms+.

Perhaps the only resolution is to upgrade to an AC router.

I'm going to be upgrading mine as well. Since I turned of the lower freq. channel and have it on only 5ghz I lost my guest options, and the older devices don't connect but such is life. I might daisy chain the old router who knows.

However the WiFi is working simply awesome now. Even with the crap router it has 0 hiccups

i recommend upgrading to an AC router. I myself had the same problem not long ago when trying to connect to a Wireless-N router with my computer (Asus PCE-AC68 Wireless card in my system), right once i got the matching ASUS AC68 (1900Mbps - 1300AC/600N) router it was night and day difference.

Range was one of the major issues with wireless N, with my room being on the other side of the house from the router. Fortunately switching to AC did the trick. I couldnt even see the 5ghz signal from the old N router, but connecting to the AC68 router i get 1300mbps connection at all times over the 5ghz band

Is there a way to know if you are connected using on the 5Ghz? I will have to use both bands as I have all other devices using N.
