M7F BIOS Update question.

I am about to update my BIOS from 0603 to the newest 2012 BIOS.

I want to backup up my OC profiles using the "BIOS:UEFI BIOS Utility-Advanced Mode". I didn't do this prior to a previous system crash and played hell recreating everything after having to reinstall the BIOS.

After selecting [F2] "Load/Save Profile from/to USB Drive" selecting "Save" I am asked for a Profile Name to "Save As". Now, is this the current OC Profile I am running or is this a complete set of all 8 OC profiles I have? If it is only the current Profile is there a way to do all at once or do I have to load each individually and do the 'Save As" on each?

I have read the book and looked online, but found nothing that really describes what is about to happen. I definitely do not want to have to start from scratch on all of my profiles again as happened the last time, although I did press the BIOS reset button on the MB last time, which I think wipes them all?

Another question, by updating the BIOS will all of the OC Profiles be erased; hence having to use the BU; or still be available to the new BIOS?

Thanks
Rick S.

Anytime you update the bios, all previous OC profiles will be erased.
And this is for good reason, you do not want to use an older bios profile on a new bios.
Reason being is that enhancements and even new/different options are added and sometimes dropped with new releases.

Oh Man, I did not want to hear that!!

I guess that makes sense, not sure I want to update now.

Thanks, kinda

Wait what about my other question?

It should save the current profile only to the designated profile# on your usb. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it does not move your 8 profile saves onto the USB. You can save each profile# individually onto the USB without each being overwritten right?

That is what I suspected too.
