My rig with the M6E in is failing to boot and sticking on q-code 71. Cleared cmos/removed battery/swap bios, no joy.

Any suggestions?

Tried with everything from the board removed apart from GPU's which i disabled all lanes (PITA - need to drain loop). I'll put another cpu in and see if anything changes. Still open to suggestions!

Dead chip it would seem. Put another in and didn't hang on 71, re-fitted original and hung straight away. I'll try it in a spare mobo but reckon this ones gone to silicone heaven. 😞

It does happen that you get a CPU with a defective IMC or similar.
