M5F CPU Level Up(Turbo Evo) CPU multiplier setting persists after uninstallation

My motherboard: Maximus V Formula, BIOS version: 1408
CPU: i5-3570K

So, out of curiosity, I decided to give CPU Level up (in AI Suite, not the option in BIOS) a try. Since I had no idea how it works, I chose the lowest setting which is 4.2GHz. The PC rebooted and worked fine. However, I wasn't satisfied with the automated settings (Vcore was set too high etc.), I manually changed the settings and went for 4.4GHz in BIOS. The system booted to Windows without any issues but it turned out that my turbo clock speed was still only 4.2GHz (Target speed in BIOS and POST both showed 4400MHz so I did make the changes). Since Turbo Evo is the only program I use that would modify CPU overclock settings, I decided to uninstall it and stick to overclocking with BIOS. Now the problem is, after the uninstallation and reboot my CPU turbo clock speed still stucks at 4.2GHz. (Again, turbo ratio is set to 44 in BIOS)

This is quite annoying, please help.

Welcome to the ROG forums, luke929!

Try this. Go into the BIOS. Click F5 to load optimized settings. Then change the Ai Overclock Tuner profile to XMP. Save & exit. When you get into Windows, your CPU should be back to stock speeds.

I actually changed tuner profile to XMP during reboot for the 1st time right after I applied CPU Level Up, because my RAM was set to run at 1333MHz (I have Kingston HyperX Lovo DDR3-1600 sticks, this is another reason I've decided this function is not what I want).

Somehow I managed to resolve the problem by using CPU Level Up again (I reinstalled Turbo Evo and used the 4.4GHz setting this time, then manually changed certain non-ideal settings in BIOS during reboot). Now I can change turbo clock ratio in BIOS and no longer stuck at what CPU Level Up setting was. (Needless to say, I'm not gonna use this function anymore.)
