even if you intend to use RAID the original BIOS with 11.0 OROM is still good as it still supports TRIM to pass through.

I believe Bluntwrapped is referring to SB chip not working correctly in offsets mode on Maximus V series, it's a known issue among many.

I forget which MV board you own.

mve1707 = V Extreme mobo
mvf1707 = V Formula mobo
mvg1707 = V Gene mobo

Pick the one for your board.

what are the benefits of 12.x OROM vs 11.x? can you link some release notes on those WHQL?
