Known-Issues + Formula VI

I will pick up my Formula VI at Microcenter this Friday!

However, I don't have time to research for finding known-issues with Formula VI.

1. Can you list these issues, please? Like Black Screen Boot Issue, PCIe slot issue, etc...

2. Is there info about how to determine manufacture date of motherboard by looking at the box?

I like to be prepared. So please?

i believe the sound can be buggy. Some people get noise, others like me get surround that doesn't seem to work all of the time.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Do you happen to know of any fixes for the noise problem? I'm getting really bad interference with the on-board audio

Front-panel headphone jack or rear-panel speaker jack? FWIW, I had some audible electronic interference at my front-panel jack, which I fixed by removing a ground wire that was connected to my case's front jack panel.

Rear panel speaker jack (very noticable / unusable) and also spill onto my X-Fi Titanium HD! Guess it's a PCIe lane isolation issue?

There are no significant know issues that I have seen at all.

Look at the last 4 digits of the white sticker near to the sata and 24 pin power connectors. That will tell you the shipping bios. Obviously newer bios means newer board.
