Issues with qlogic qle2462 booting

Hey there,

Im trying to get a qlogic qle2462 fiber channel HBA to work with my motherboard but I can only get it to boot when the card is in by itself without any gpus. This is a problem since I would like to keep using my two 290s.

When I boot with the gpus (in any slot) the boot process stops when the qlogic boot screen appears. I try to click ctrl+q to enter the cards bios setup and nothing happens and when I let the bios continue to load nothing happens either.

I have tried turning off fast boot in the bios and switch, and updated my bios to the newest version. Any ideas on where to go from here?

Just wondering if you got it working.

Please list us your complete pc specifications and if you have anything else connected in the pcie slots besides your gpu's and qle2462 such as a sound card.

It says it's a x4 device so all should be good depending on your motherboard it should run x8 x4 for your gpu's and x4 for the qle2462. It says it supports pcie 1.0 - 1.1 windows xp and vista.

I wonder if a firmware update might help?

That is too expensive to not get working with your gpu's. 🙂
