Is this over clock real?!

ok guys so im working on getting my 3770k up to 4.5 ghz from 4.3. im in offset mode. i was setting mult to 4.3 and leaving offset to manual. at that setting the cpu was getting about 1.23 volts on system start up but under load it was drooping to around 1.1. everything ran fine and was stable. temps were in the 63-65 range according to real temp at load.

now im controlling offset manually. my mult is 45 and my offset is at +.010. i have been running aida64 for about an hour now with no issues (i know this isnt long enough). im monitoring temps with realtemp and aida and it has not gone about 67 with idles at 30. my loaded voltage is only 1.088 with a spike up to 1.104 caught by aida. im also using cpuz and rog monitoring via a second pc and this is confirmed on all.

my question is that this seems like an amazing temp/volatge for a 4.5 clock on a 3770k. everything else i have seen online was showing 1.2v or more and temps in the 70's.

anything else i should be checking or did i just get super lucky with this chip??? anything i should look out for or settings that i need to make sure are correct? using a max formula v with 1707 bios.

EDIT: using h80i for cooling with sp120 quiet edition fans in push/pull

bois digi settings are

llc auto
voltage frequency auto
power phase control extreme
cpu current capability 140%

all vccio and vccsa settings are on auto

vccio stays at 1.05v
vccsa stays at .95v

jsarver, use ONLY ONE TEMP ASSESSING APPLICATION AT A TIME!!!

Having more of those applications, which are polling the same sensors, often may cause conflicts... usually those will manifest in misreadings...

So, decide which application you like better, then uninstall the other ones...

well i like realtemp for actual temp monitoring. i dont normally use aida64 temp feature but its there in a tab in the stress test section so i glanced at it and the rog monitoring i use for voltages, fan speeds, and frequencies not just for temp stuff. i use all these applications for different reasons it just so happens that that they have a section where temps can be found. i only referenced them all to show redundancies and rule out any false software readings.

The problem is not that you referenced all of them... - it's that you have installed multiple applications! I was just trying to say that it's not good and possible will cause trouble...

You could just have a really nice CPU. Why not, there are some great ones out there.

One set of monitoring software is very good advice too.

Happy overclocking.

ok weird issue. my oc is running stable and i tried to play a game for a full system test but now my graphics drivers are crashing...does a cpu overclock effect gpu perfomance?? no constant graphics crashes like this prior to cpu overclock. any ideas?

He-he, now you just learned a very basic thing... 🙂 Running stress-test won't mean that your system is stable, only that it can pass or not that particular stress-test...

Before you start OC'ing the graphics cards, be sure that your system's memory is stable... run memtest86+ for at least 4 cycles (guide in HiVizMan's signature)- btw, do you have OC'd the graphics?

the cards are oc'd and have been for a few months now. ran pretty well with my 4.0 oc, my 4.2 oc and my 4.3 oc that whole time. now i jump to 4.5 and dont touch the cards and the drivers crash. ill do memtest shortly. thanks
