As the tittle says, does anyone know if SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 250GB Compatible with Maximus VII Hero?

I have switched PCI-E X4_3 to M.2(Image1) but the system still can't recognize the drive.

Do I have to change other settings in order to make it work? I been planning on using it as my STEAM FOLDER..

Edit 1: Added link to where from I have purchased the product(M.2 Drive).

Hi Alan

Sorry but I don't think that's going to work that M.2 card uses a SATA interface and the Hero VII only supports PCIe

Thank you!

Can you please give an example product which will be compatible with Hero VII? Thank you in advance!

Also note that the M.2 device on the Hero VII only runs at PCIe x2 not PCIe x4 that most M.2 SSD cards utilize to achieve there rated speed so you will likely only receive half the rated speed of the M.2 SSD that you use.

Sparax you are correct, I think I would go with Chino's Hyper x predator or the Intel 750 pcie ssd.

Thank you Sparax and Nate ❤️
