(edit: User error caused this but may be good to read my first post here since I updated with edits at the bottom as an example of never taking for granted that you might have changed a setting in bios and forgot to set back )
Hi guys (specs at bottom)
Im getting frustrated here, Only had the CHv for less than 2 weeks and Im noticing something very weird....Didnt have this issue with my last mobo (msi 890fxa-gd70) but yesterday I loaded an a higher OC than before, 4306mhz from 4255mhz (which was stable) and 2990cpu-nb to 3231mhz. I did prime95 small fft for 10mins and was ok so went to blend test and it shut down within 15-20seconds. I powered it back up not thinking anything and set things back to my regular OC and now when using ie9 and visting ign.com it will power down the computer within 5seconds or so on that page!! Other pages seem ok but initially were loading kinda slow (24.3Mbps DL and 1.81Mbps upload). The problem didnt happen with chrome so I thought windows got corrupt so reinstalled and things seemed to work good. Today though I was blend testing again on a slightly different setting and BSOD, nervous about yesterday I check that ign.com page and same thing happened again. This time I tried to reflash the bios with 705 again and that fixed it. Went for another attempt with more voltage on cpu-nb and another crash, retested ign.com and again it was shuttting down the system. Reflashed Bios and still doing it. I will add I am typing this on the bad PC currently too. At time of failure I see cpu volt and cpu-nb volt drop to 0.0v at the same time, cpu peaks one last time to what it was but cpu-nb voltage doesnt stayed down. Im going to reload my image and see what happens but Im not feeling good about this motherboard. Memory wasnt overclocked, only cpu-nb/imc.
I got the board from newegg (will call) and am going to call them tomorrow about an rma just to be safe unless someone can convince me it isnt the mobo at all. Im just thinking this is such an odd problem might as well start with the latest addition to the setup since this started.
Thanks

So I picked up a wireless card for my pc since Im moving soon and wont be able to connect by wire anymore. Netgear (wn311b) n300 and installed it, disabled the intel LAN in the bios and fired things up. Problem re-occured so Its not Intel to blame on this one. Could it still be the motherboard? Degrading cpu? PSU? Memory? Dont have much extra cash to play swap the part lol PROBLEM DID NOT HAPPEN with an msi 890fxa-gd70 which I just transfered over too and my OC was the same on that one. THis board actually lets me boot and bench at higher settings but I keep it in the safe zone at where I had it.

I think my cpu-nb was glitchy at what it was set, I think when I pushed the cpu-nb to an unstable state (3200+mhz) I forgot to set something back (possibly cpu-nb LLC/voltage since it was getting kinda high for the setting) because the problem went away once I reset ALLLLLL oc settings and started over. Stock was working but even overclocked google chrome never failed but into IE9 it would fail every time, so I still suspected the MOBO to be failing in a non oc related manor, like a defect or that my cpu was starting to degrade. Im glad we all put some work into this, it would have sucked RMAing a good board!
Truely a humbling experience 🙂
End result everything is working normally and I am back to the same level of OC but no problems now, even with the darn internet failure I was getting I was still impressed at this board lol, I mean I am able to OC a lot higher than my 890fxa-gd70 and I think its just the stable power delivery (msi vrm issue) and great quality parts.
