Internal pll-overvoltage

Hey. I'd like to know if there is a internal pll-voltage option for Rampage series motherboards. This option was very useful on the original Sandy Bridge platform and I found out that it was introduced in some BIOS update. However, I successfully updated my bios to the newest available, but the option is not there. Shouldn't it be there or do I need to flashback earlier version or something. If someone has got positive results using this option on x79 platform I'd like to know it.

Cheers, Sinebrychof

There is a PLL Voltage. You just missed it somehow:)

I know mate. Bumping it didn't really make any difference, I have dropped it to 1.600 atm. I meant about an individual option for that like in the original Sandry Bridge. I'd like to know if its availabme on some BIOS and if some people have got positive results with tweaking that voltage on x79 platform, I'd really like to know.

Shammy made Several Bios with this option in the mix. But it made no difference to both clocking CPU, RAM or the stability of the system so it was removed as an option. Try tuning down your main PLL whilst using High BLK Around 129-131) this often brings down Vcore needed for a certain overclock.

Indeed it is there.

I tried to run with 130 bclk and 1.475 PLL but it didn't actually help with my cpu oc at all ;(.

Each CPU is unique and that means that you will need to find the correct CPU Pll voltages that suite your system and your cooling solution.

There is no guarantee that your system (CPU) will benefit at all by having the PLL voltages significantly lowered, not all CPU's do.
