BOLTS4BREKFAST
Level 12
This is the latest intel raid rom...
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5ALl8wHmmIQNjc5UHhqN1g1ZEk/edit?usp=sharing

Is there any way that the latest R4E BIOS can be modded to include this rom?

I have tried myself.. but i think it's above my paygrade! lol:p

Perhaps someone else could give it a shot? or is it even possible?

Thanks!

This is only possible for users, who have set their Intel SATA Controller to "AHCI" mode.
The "Intel(R) C600 Chipset Series SATA RAID Controller" (DEV_2826) is not supported by the original drivers.
My current System:

Yes, I am sorry, that I didn't mention that earlier.
Thank you for your message, that you were able to use the original WHQL drivers.

Therefore, the drivers whql also work with raid or not?

As I have already written, the "Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA RAID Controller" (DEV_2826) is not supported by the original RST(e) drivers v12.0.0.1082, whereas the "Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA AHCI Controller" (Dev_1D02) will be supported.
RAID users may try to install the original RST(e) drivers nevertheless, but that will be difficult, because the correct HardwareIDs cannot be found by the OS. That is why I recommend to take a modded driver package, where the missing HardwareIDs have been added into the related INF files.
