This is the latest intel raid rom...
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5ALl8wHmmIQNjc5UHhqN1g1ZEk/edit?usp=sharing

Is there any way that the latest R4E BIOS can be modded to include this rom?

I have tried myself.. but i think it's above my paygrade! lol:p

Perhaps someone else could give it a shot? or is it even possible?

Thanks!

For me they (the 12.0) are the only driver since this E driver foolish started that gives me the same numbers as the 11.2 drivers, in achi mode. I have not tried them in R0.

Thanks DooRules.

Hi guys, Hi Snakeyes,
I've also tried 12.0.0.1 RsT and also I went back to RST 11.7 that I use for months without problems, because there was no improvement, but I also wanted to test the RST 11.2, ensuring a strange result: in fact there is a better data transfer rate in 11.2 compared to 11.7, but when booting Win 7 pro. the 11.2 requires 3-4 seconds more to complete the boot. You have occurred by chance also have a similar behavior, or are you able to give an explanation for this?
Best regards to all

sandro c , Very interesting observation. Will definitely research that. I remember that earlier RST versions (11.1 in particular) did change boot times fairly substantially. Never thought about it recently till your post.

Did notice that your 4K times in 11.7 seem to be better than 11.2. My experience was the reverse. However since most boot activity occurs in the 4K range, that might explain some of the improvement but not 2 to 3 seconds worth.

Snakeyes Hi, hi guys,
in fact four seconds of extra time sounds like a lot me too ... but It is the reality: have you've seen when during the boot win7 that appear the four lights that come together to form the Microsoft logo? After their union there are intermittent pulses of light in the logo ...OK, with RST 11.7 after the third pulse, the desktop is loaded, but with RST 11.2 desktop appears after the seventh pulse, I tested it again two times.
Perhaps the difference can be even in my disks that are Vertex4 128, less performance of your (maybe) Vertex3 256 GB. You can see this also from the transfer rate score, i dont know.
But what I see with admiration it is your stability 7/24 @ 4.8 Ghz with my own same HW!
What is "winning move" on the bios to get at least 4.6 Ghz, compatibly with my air cooling?
Greetings to all.

Sandro, Vertex 4 has faster 4Ks than Vertex 3 🙂 So yours should (in theory) be faster in any situation..

Sandro, Thanks to you I updated my signature, my drives are Vectors and is not Vertex 3's. My boot time is about 30 seconds, about 3 pulses under RST 11.2 and Noden's 11.6/3404 bios. That has been my fastest combination to date. I think anything above 4.5 GHz on air is pretty good. My 4.8 is with a fairly robust water cooling system that keeps my CPU very cool, even under very heavy loads.

Hi Snakeyes,
thanks for your explanation, I think I will be forever under your performance with your two Vector 256 GB!
Excuse me, but when you say "Noden's 11.6/3404 bios", it just means the Bios 3404 Nodens or there is also a RST 11.6 modified by Nodens?
With regards overclocking @ 4.6 Ghz unstable, even if my idle temp is 29 ° C and 71 ° C full load and my offset to +0.05, the strange thing is that passes all tests of 20 steps of Linx and IBT with 162 Gflop, but on the boot hangs on Logo when loading Win7, while everything is OK if I stay with 45X and FSB @ ... 101.7 = 4570 Mhz. It is just a little difference of clock.
I think I'll have to be content with that!
Thanks and Hello to all.

I used Noden's 3404 bios which had the 11.6 ROM. He now has the 3404 with the 12.0 ROM. God bless Noden's. Noden's, if you see this post please clarify. Thank you

Hi Nodens,
just a little clarification for me ... I asked if Snakeyes when he wrote "Noden's 11.6/3404 bios", it just means the Bios 3404 Nodens or there is Also a RST 11.6 modified by Nodens? I currently use your Bios mod. 3404 with RST 11.7 downloaded from Intel. And a little suggest how to resolve my trouble in the post #102.
My greetings to you and to the Forum always at the top of the interest.
