This is the latest intel raid rom...
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5ALl8wHmmIQNjc5UHhqN1g1ZEk/edit?usp=sharing

Is there any way that the latest R4E BIOS can be modded to include this rom?

I have tried myself.. but i think it's above my paygrade! lol:p

Perhaps someone else could give it a shot? or is it even possible?

Thanks!

Exactly this BIOS has already been linked by me (only slight difference: It contains the newer ASMedia OROM v0.95.1).
As I have written earlier, I will not modify anymore a BIOS upon request. If you want a special BIOS, please modify it yourself.

The EFI "SataDriver" GUI named "Intel(R) Rapid Storage" will only appear in the "Advanced Options" part of the UEFI BIOS, if you have installed the OS in clean EFI mode with disabled CSM.
My current System:

On Maximus V Extreme that menu appears after "Tools" Menu instead of being added to the "Advanced Options" menu.
Of course I have Windows 8 in EFI mode installed. 🙂

At this rate, ya'll will quickly run Fernando away... If you're wanting a BIOS mod.. I will do my best... After the gracious fernando modded 3404 R4E BIOS, I was able to compare the differences between the stock and the modded one so i can now do it myself.. as i did one for "NOLIFE" for his Rampage 4 Formula.

Ok, if you have the time to do that, it would be fine for those users, who have never put their hands onto a BIOS file.

Just to make it clear:
Not a single BIOS module has to be modified by you (the modification has already been done by me), it will be just a replacement of at least 2-3 BIOS modules.
All you need is the AMI Aptio UEFI MMTool (>LINK<) and the following files (besides the original BIOS file):
  • the "Especially modified Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v12.0.0.1783 with TRIM in RAID0 for X79 systems",
  • the file named SataDriver.ffs, which is within the "Intel EFI RAID SataDriver modules v12.0.0.1783 for EFI mode RAID systems" package and
  • the "ASMedia 106x AHCI ROM v0.951 (if you want to update it too)

Everyone can find these files within the start post of >this< page.
Users, who have never worked with the AMI Aptio UEFI MMTool, should read the chapter C of >this< guide.

Good luck!
Fernando
