This is the latest intel raid rom...
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5ALl8wHmmIQNjc5UHhqN1g1ZEk/edit?usp=sharing

Is there any way that the latest R4E BIOS can be modded to include this rom?

I have tried myself.. but i think it's above my paygrade! lol:p

Perhaps someone else could give it a shot? or is it even possible?

Thanks!

MMM V0.4, I am using v3 and it failed. But when i get home in the morning i was going to run the HEX test, As per Fernando's test method.
However i shall test V4 Because i know v3 had some bugs.
I still need to run Hex test though to validate the Trim test tool for now.

UPDATE :Ok here goes -

Tested Orom again new version 12.xx on my Gigabyte G1 Assassin 2 x79.
However this time using V4 of the trim check utility it passed the trim test !

To back this up i then used the tried / tested and trusted WinHex method of Fernando's and crew.
Again this came up with 0000000 across the board. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post5122967

So the Trimcheck utility seems to be working correctly now and validated with Hex Method.

Furthermore good news for our x79 Platforms !!

OH YES FYI - The update to the New Orom v12xx from 11.6 did not break my Raid !!

So i hope Asus update your bios now without the need to mess about - Fingers crossed for you !

Data :Here is the link to my data -rather than put it up again.

Sorry guys, I was away for work:) The old thread with the patch has been renamed to be more appropriate and I'll be updating the
images there for 12.0.0.1783. RIVE and P9X79-WS are already up.

EDIT: Formula, Gene and OROM image for self-modding added as well. The rest of the P9X79 boards I'll add if requested in the thread:)

Users with an X79 chipset RAID system, who want to try the newest Intel RST(e) drivers v12.0.0.1082, can use an already modified driverpack, where I have added the missing HardwareIDs. You can find download links to these "modded" Intel RST(e) drivers v12.0.0.1082 >here<.
If anyone with an X79 RAID system should be interested in testing the Intel RAID ROM v12.0.0.1783, which has been modified for being usable with DEV_2826, please let me know it.

I'm a newbie to the X79 series, can someone point me how to convert a RSTe 3.5 RAID0 array to a RST RAID0 Array 11.x or 12.x? pretty please....sorry for asking in this thread. Or how to use these files.

If your mainboard manufacturer doesn't offer a BIOS with the option to use the Intel RAID ROM v11.x.x.xxxx or higher (which will switch the on-board X79 SATA RAID Controller to an "Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller" with the DeviceID 2822), you have to flash a BIOS containing an X79 compatible (modified) Intel RAID ROM v11.x.x.xxxx or higher (the DeviceID of your X79 SATA RAID Controller will remain 2826).
The further procedure in the latter case should be explained by someone, who has already done it.

I have a RIVE

Meanwhile I have modded the Intel RAID ROM v12.0.0.1783 for X79 chipset mainboards and hope, that it will work.
Furthermore I have modded the BIOS 3404 for the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme by replacing the original Intel RAID ROM v3.5.0.1005 by the modded Intel RAID ROM v12.0.0.1783.
Since I cannot test them myself, I cannot guarantee, that they will work for X79 chipset mainboards.
Users, who want to test either the modded RAID ROM or the already modded BIOS 3404 for the Rampage IV Extreme, may send me a PM.
