Hello 🙂

I have tried to apply Indigo Xtreme for AMD AM2/3 Processors and computer comes on for 30secs then shuts off never letting anything get hot. and before i go disabling anything in the BIOS (I have looked in the BIOS but may be missing something) , my other question is the instructions for the Indigo state that cpu will reach about 90 C and then drop fast. I do not know if its a good idea to get my AMD to 90C. I am wanting to use it with my EK water block.

The directions do state "Supported CPUs: *All AMD Phenom and AMD Athlon" no mention of Bulldozer.

I am using MX-4 atm and seems to be doing a great job but i did spend the $$ on this and would at least like to try it without burning up my CPU.

Has anyone been able to complete the Reflow Procedure with a AMD 81xx Bulldozer ?

i havent used it but if i did id try forceing the cpu manually in bios to run with auto volts on its lowest speed(x10 or lowest multi) , boot into windos then slowly up clocks with AIsuite watching my temps, by the sounds of their site it needs a high cureing temp ,you might try using a hair dryer to heat your HSF with the pc unplugged , you might get it hot enough , id try plan A first tho, just some ideas i wont be offended if you dont like em.

I think i did it. I just kept hitting the power every time the computer would shut off i had my figure on the power and ready for it. After about 10 times, the computer started and booted into windows. I had my D5 water pump plugged into another power supply that I had the pins jumped so i could sit there and cycle the pump on and off and control my temp increase, allowed CPU cores and socket to reach 85C because the Indigo Xtreme Reflow procedure says that is the temp that must be reached and then i cooled it back to idle temp. still running temp checks but so far it seems to have the same temps as I did with MX-4. If there is any difference at all it would be that my temps seem to reach the max temp quicker now then it did with MX-4 but overall temps seem the same. So... i dont know, maybe its on maybe its not 100%. either way i find my self wanting to go back to MX-4 or something better and forgetting about it.
