Impedence on Asus ROG ( Ranger )

Hello,

I have bought a Kingston Xcloud headset and it benefits from higher impedence.
My question is, does it get a higher impedence plugged in at the back.

When I plug it in the front, i get message a from SupremeFX control panel that it gets higher impedence. When I plug it in the back I get no message except speaker configuration, nothing about impedence. Is there any way I can plug my headset in the back and get same quality or impedence.

Im not an audiophile, but I feel I do get beter sound quality from the front panel. Maybe its just placebo...

Thank you for you attention.

Here's my guess on how this works. My understanding is that Asus has an on-board audio feature called Sonic SenseAmp that will detect your headphone's impedance only when plugged into the front audio jack on your computer. It can't change the impedance of your headphones, but I think it adjusts the audio amplifier to match the headphone impedance. If you have higher impedance headphones, it should increase the power output of the audio amplifier to compensate. Otherwise, the volume level would be low (and maybe have reduced dynamic range.) This may be happening when you plug your headphones into the rear speaker jack.

The only thing I don't like about this feature is that the SenseAmp window always opens whenever I plug in my headphones in the front jack. I wish it remembered the impedance without opening up the dialog box and the Supreme FX window.

For me it does remember the impedence. I turn off the open dialog option in options, and it detect automaticly the correct impedence level.

You just explained in the first part of your post why using the correct impedence is important. I need a confirmation that plugin the headphone into the back gives you a lower impedence.
I think im gonna buy a front panel pci bracket for audio and fix it like that if I get no answer here. I kinda like having 2 front speaker outputs.
