Impact II - iROG 2 updating loop

Hi,

Before I water cooled the rig, I installed windows 7 (64), drivers, and a few games. It ran smoothly without any issues.
Now that I'm ready with building I get this updating message at boot:
"iROG2 is updating. Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure.
01% Complete"

It takes a long time to finish, reboots, and starts over.
The Q-led code is at 80 and the Boot_Device_led & CMOS button at the back are constantly lit.
I can't access the bios or boot from the DVD drive. It just keeps rebooting and give the same update message.

mobo: Asus Maximus VII Impact, rev 1.02, bios 0217
cpu: i5-5670K
ram: G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB 2133MHz F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL (XMP)
gpu: Asus R9 280X DCUII TOP
psu: Seasonic M12II-520Bronze evo edition
sdd: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB

Thx in advance!

edit: I removed the water block and closely inspected if I missed adding spacers but all are present. Attached the block again, installed mobo without rear I/O shield, still get the message.

edit 2: flashed bios to latest (2102) which did work but at boot it again shows the message.

edit 3: RMA to shop

i have the same problem with an maximus VI Formula.

i read in some forums that is the bios chip, an one of them said that, he removed the bios chip and cleaned the metal pins from the chip, so i did the same, but i notice that the metal have some white thing so i cleaned it and put it back
i disconnected everything from the mobo, i just let the cpu, (15-4430), 1 ram (4g) and the main HDD (with windows 7 pro)
mouse and keyboard, then i turned on the pc from the mobo and it did the same thing but really fast from 1% to 100% in 1 minute or less. then it restarted from itself and the again with the loop. but it was really fast and did it for 3 times only

in the forth time it boot normally so i belived it was fix i opened windows, apps, games, restar it like 10 times and it was working perfectly fine so i decided to reassemble it, but when i finished didnt boot it start the loop again but realy slow about 3 hr to reash the 100% so i'm goonna let the loop fror 3 times (about 10 hr) hope it will work.

sorry for my english.

Hi Jim,

The second board (RMA) doesn't have any issues. So I suggest you RMA the board asap.

Cheers,
