Image Outdated ???

Trying to go from the 1305 BIOS back to 1202 using the EZ flash utility... When I try to read the 1202 image it comes up with a message "Image Outdated". Any older BIOS I try to load it comes up "Image Outdated"...

Why was this put in place? I should be able to flash any BIOS I want even if it's one of the original 1101 or something.

Yes I can get around this by doing a BIOS copy from BIOS 1 to BIOS 2 but I shouldn't have to jump through hoops.... seems very strange, leave the customer in control !

You have to use bios flashback to bring the old bios.

I "have to" do this?? wouldn't it just be easier to have an option come up.... when it says "Image Outdated", have a little button that says "Ignore"... which would proceed to flash the bios... upon clicking IGNORE

I agree.
On a board like this there should be nothing stopping the user from flashing to an older version if they please.

He's just stating the work-around....

I'm sure we can all agree that you should be able to flash anything you like to your bios chip even if its the recipe for pickled herring! But the current culture is to protect the mentally chalenged from themselves because if you don't they turn around and sue you. This is always irritating if your IQ is greater than your shoe size!:)
