Hi Everyone,

First I'd like to thank everyone who worked on this great motherboard, I'm really very very happy with it, special thanks for Shamino and Raja for the great support, THANK YOU VERY MUCH :).

I come from EVGA X58 Classified motherboard and it had a great feature which was showing the CPU temp on the debugger while in windows, I wonder if this feature could be added to the new bios, it's very very useful specially when benching, I hope you guys could make this possible, I think myself and lot of people who uses this great motherboard will be really really grateful :D.

Thanks again for your time and help.

Best Regards,
Samer.

Yeah, yeah..

Once upon a time people used to manufacture goodies from the perspective of them being 'unique' or having a 'unique selling point' but today things have changed and everyone manufacture goods to fit a certain pricing bracket, which in my opinion is a terrible shame!!

I do occasionally wonder what could be made with existing technology if the price brackets were 'thrown outta the window' to say. Perhaps make it a limited run? It'll be interesting who'll buy it... Me personally, I want performance (first) & price (second)... least that's how I choose my components.... but I also want reference layouts for add-on cards. Not much to ask really.

I second that! As I mentioned earlier, most people that buy a Rampage, are NOT price concietious, but are more out for performance, uniqueness, and functionality!

Prior to owning the RIVE (review) , I had the wonderful and very fast DFI LanParty ut x58-t3eh8, it's an awesome board purposely designed for Enthusiasts whom wanna push their hardware and attempt to squeeze every drop of performance from their processors; sold with a fairly exclusive price but it didn't discourage myself or the others. However, it wasn't popular with the mainstream, probably cause it's outta their budget?? Or perhaps the BIOS was simply too complicated... I don't know..

Anyway.. Today, there isn't much choice when it comes to high-end motherboards, Abit's gone so have DFI. 😞 ... Tyan and SuperMicro don't really cater for OCers, they're more workstation/server orientated. Therefore I'm stuck with an Asus, a manufacturer who wanna stick to STUPID price brackets. How about introducing an Extreme line aimed specifically towards Enthusiasts crowd with money to burn?? Oh wait.. that's what the Rampage Extreme line is supposed to be but isn't quite...

Perhaps... Next upgrade, I'll give EVGA a whirl, they do offer GPU upgrade paths via part-exchanges and 10 year warranties...

I will most likely get flamed for this, but here it goes.

When I purchase hardware, I always look at the availability first, price second.

If people actually did more research before buying an item, then they would have realized that the OC Key does not work with 120hz monitors. Also, idirect does work if you use the latest version that shamino posted in another thread. And being the first person to buy it so soon, means that you will most likely be the ones to find bugs and glitches.

OC Key and iDirect are still fairly new features that will need to have the bugs worked out. People will just need to be patient.

First off, I have been purchasing Asus boards for 12 years and still continue to use them in all systems that I build. I do an extensive amount of research before purchasing MB's for my high end systems. I have not looked at the capabilities of the OC key because I had no intention of using it because of the distance it sticks out of the back. I only was considering this option because the iDirect does not work! I tried downloading Shaminos version and all that happens is that it says bluetooth is connected in both, my iphone and computer, however, when I press ROG iDirect, the action circle just keeps going without ever connecting. This is NOT new software as the last time that it was updated was May 2011, almost a year ago.
I know that I sound frustrated, but I am an iphone freak. Hell, I start my car with my iphone. It was just very dissapointing for me to find out that this option does not work with this board.
