How to remove GPU without removing CPU heatsink?

Has anyone else had success with this?
My issue is with the white plastic clip at the end of the PCI slot. I can't reach it with my hand as the CPU heatsink and RAM are in the way, and the GPU goes way over the back of the clip. Pushing on the clip with a screwdriver is just putting indentations in the clip.

I have no problems removing the GPU with huge CPU coolers on. I use a 12" (30cm) plastic ruler. And just press down and pop out it comes.

OMG......:p

heh, I'm just retarded I guess.

I was just pushing down on the clip, but pushing at an angle towards the front of the board and down worked fine. There is even a slot on the clip which the blade of the screwdriver fit flat nicely.

The plastic ruler idea is a nice one. I'll give that a try in the future thanks.
