How to Install Ai Suite 3! (For People Who Cannot install the new AI Suite 3)

Okay...I finally was able to fix this!!

Follow the steps correctly..

-Uninstall any remaining Asus programs, then start windows in safe mode and run this cleaner.

-Restart into normal windows mode and download a newer version of AI suite listed at your Motherboard page, decompress it but don't install it.

-In the drvresource folder right-click on HMservice/aaHMIns.exe and AXSP/axinst.exe and change the compatibility for all users to run as administrator. (Look into compatibility settings and opt accordingly)

-Run the main Ai suite installer (asussetup) as administrator.
Nothing seems to be happening again but just check your task manager for a process called axins.exe. End that process and the installer should magically start working.

This is freaking ridiculous. I've tried all that has been mentioned in this and still get the you must reboot error bull****.

Im using Rampage 5 extreme.

Where people say end exIns.exe i dont have this running, so what can i do? Ive tried loading this manually, then loading the installer, nope, stil have to reboot, ive tried everything i can think of. Almost time to get a refund for this board.

Ai Suite 3 will definitely install and open, when u format the system and re install it again in new system .

no matter what i do u definitely can't install it in current system . I have followed almost all the way's mentioned in all sites especially Republic of Gamer's and Tom's hard ware but in vain.

The mistake i have done was that i installed mother board drivers from DRP after that when i try to install aisuite 3 it won't install no matter what i do.

So the simple procedure is that to format your current OS and Then freshly install aisuite 3 from the Mother board CD given to you or iso file or download Aisuite 3 form asus.com.

This sound's funny and time taking but it defiantly worth the effort u make. This is the straight forward technique

thanking you.

Hello everyone, I'm answering here just in case some people (like me a few minutes ago) still weren't able to install AI suit 3.

So here what I did and worked :

-Reboot in safe mode and Apply AI suite 3 Cleaner
-Restart in normal mode
-Download last version of AI suite 3 from the motherboard's homepage
-Download 7Zip (I previously had winrar)
-Extract the archive with 7Zip
-Go to the folders security settings and make sure you have full controll and the sub-folders have it too (Advanced propreties, check the box)
-Make sure DvrResource\AXSP\axIns.exe and DvrResource\HMservice\aaHMIns.exe aaHMSvc.exe are all going to run in administrator
-Run "AsusSetup.exe"
-Install should run, if it doesn't, try terminating the axIns.exe process

It worked for me. hope it does for you too

Cheers !

This brought an end to a crippling torment. The only other thing I done that wasn't listed below was unblock the archive. I've no idea if it helped but the process below delivered me. Many thanks.

I had an issue with it not running about a year ago, and ever since then, if I needed to reinstall AI Suite, I would do exactly what you're saying, kill axins.exe from the running tasks in task manager. As soon as it's killed, the installation begins.

Now I'm having a different issue with AI Suite. I recently had to remove it, but when I tried reinstalling it, I still have to kill axins.exe from my running apps, but when it looks like it's about to start installing, I get a message saying setup.exe has stopped working. The only option is to close the program. I've tried running the AI Suite Cleaner, I ran CCleaner, I checked to make sure all my Windows System files were fine, nothing corrupted, and I've even tried reinstalling the Homecloud Bundle but it too give me the same error. After closing it out and opening the Event Viewer under Administrative Tools in the Control Panel, this is the Application error it has listed:

Faulting application name: setup.exe_unknown, version: 1.0.0.4, time stamp: 0x00000000
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18869, time stamp: 0x556363bc

Faulting module path: C:\Windows\syswow64\KERNELBASE.dll
Report Id: 5277a4d1-14ad-11e5-a162-ac9e17b3de57

It's been running fine since my last upgrade, but all of a sudden, it quit. Has anyone else received errors with the Setup.exe file when trying to install this software? Does anyone have any suggestions? I really need AI Suite to work because I think I have an incompatibility problem between my X99 Deluxe and my Corsair LPX 2800 DDR4 memory. I've tried countless numbers of hours trying to get the memory running as the right speed and OC the CPU, but the only way I can OC is buy running the 5 way optimization. Even if I run the 5 way Optimization, my system posts, and I save the settings, if I ever turn my system off, it won't post, even if I load the exact same profile that was saved. When the 5 way optimization is run again, I can get my system OC'd, but something is different every single time. Maybe the BCLK is different by .5 or my memory is running slower than the stated speed, it's using a 100 strap, and the multiplier is set for 43. There's never been any consistency with overclocking this system, so with that said, I really need AI Suite working.

Ive been having trouble updating and i already uninstalled the old, cleaning in safe mode, unblocking the zip and both .exe file, and instaling one more time after many trail and error. At the moment it seems like its taking forever. The first 10% is fast, everything after, hours. Im not kidding, I have yet see install 100% and ive been waiting on it for hours, and the one time where i did come back it was at 60% then crashed my computer. Im not not making this stuff up, I left my pc for a few hour, woke it up from sleep, it went from 10% to 60% than blue screen crash.
Im at the end of my ropes and i think im doing something wrong but i dont know what im doing thats incorrect.

Please, i just want to update my Ai and get this over with. By the time anyone reads this its might be done or most likely still installing.

Please help.

Update.
I installed it...kind of. It works, it runs, but Ai Charger+ is iffy and crashes or does not finish loading.
It runs< thats all i can say.
