How to Install Ai Suite 3! (For People Who Cannot install the new AI Suite 3)

Okay...I finally was able to fix this!!

Follow the steps correctly..

-Uninstall any remaining Asus programs, then start windows in safe mode and run this cleaner.

-Restart into normal windows mode and download a newer version of AI suite listed at your Motherboard page, decompress it but don't install it.

-In the drvresource folder right-click on HMservice/aaHMIns.exe and AXSP/axinst.exe and change the compatibility for all users to run as administrator. (Look into compatibility settings and opt accordingly)

-Run the main Ai suite installer (asussetup) as administrator.
Nothing seems to be happening again but just check your task manager for a process called axins.exe. End that process and the installer should magically start working.

After Installing it I found an easier way to open. Just in case it this doesn't work on installation I am leaving my previous post there. My newly discovered solution to this is as follows. Remember this may only work after installing.
-Open AsusSetup.exe as admin.
-End the process axIns.exe.
-When the window to run setup opens just hit cancel and the setup should start.

My solution to this problem was to open AsusSetup.exe as admin. Afterwards I navigated to processes in task manager and ended axIns.exe. This will open allow aaHMIns.exe to open in processes as well as bringing up a window to run the setup. Don't click run yet. You have to reopen axIns.exe from DrvResource\AXSP in the setup folder. Before you click run for axIns.exe make sure the window to run the setup is behind the window for axIns.exe because you have to hit run for the setup immediately after clicking run for axIns.exe. If you do not then axIns.exe will close again and you have to do this all over again. Hope it works for anyone still having trouble. It worked for me using the lastest version. Good Luck.

Thanks for posting this. Your method was the only thing that worked for me. ASUS really needs to test its software releases for bugs like these and for usability before release.

The uninstall routine of this AI Suit is just, crap...

Non of the solutions worked for me. I had an old Version installed and wanted to update to the new version. I did like it was meantioned in the first post. Uninstall, restart in safe mode running the cleaner (which always said it cant open some file). restart again, setting the "run as admin" stuff and tried reinstalling it.
This time i wanted it to install at D:\ drive rather than C:\prog x86 folder. After i set the D drive as location it installed, said i should restart, which i did, and well nothing happens after the restart. i wasnt able to open the program.
However, at location D:\ there were only the addon datas such as EZupdater and stuff but no AI suite 3.exe... That one was located at... guess where... C:\Prog x86. I uninstalled it again, thinking, ok if you want to remain at C: then there you go...
Well at least i thought so but the Install routine got something else in mind after i restarted my pc and hit the Setup again. It said: Insalling at D:\AI Suite III... and it would not let me change the destination.

I installed it there again, started the AIsuite.exe at C: and it told me that it cant find paths to some of the added programms. In my case the USB Bios Flashback program.

My solution to get it working again... I drag and drop every folder and data that the installer created at my D:\AI suite location into the AISuiteIII on C:\Program x86. After that it works fine.

Seriously Asus... try to fix this. Also because... as it is not correctly installed now, it wont start with windows.

Is There an AI Suite III for a G30AB Rog. AI II is installed on my G30AB . My G30AB is a few months old , very old updates for the G30AB on its support page {New Updates are to support 8.1} My Guess is the G30AB is obsolete already.

G30AB Rog already abandoned? Can't be! What board does it have?

Its an asus reference board , its not made by asus No AI III for G30ab Life span of G30AB was 1.5 years See the Posts @ GR-Series Consoles PCs and Tytan G/CG Gaming PC below in the forum
