How do I update my BIOS in order to use IVY-E

Hi there,
heres the thing: I was using E5-2620 ES, this CPU is only supported by early version BIOS (R4E),
so my BIOS version has been on .ROM (before 1404)

Yesterday I upgraded my CPU to 4930K, and I know I have to update the bios to the latest to use it,
but the thing is I have to use the ASUS converter to convert .ROM BIOS to .CAP BIOS,
right now my BIOS is still 1404 and I can't even boot up, so the only way to update it is using Flashback,
so I have to flashback the converter first and the bios will be updated to 2103 or something,
with 2103 BIOS I still can't boot up, and the conversion requires booting up to finish the conversion
which means I can't update my BIOS to the latest version by just using the Flashback.

Anyone has any thought on how am I gonna solve this problem?
Thank you.

BIOS2 is happening the same thing, so I guess it's not the BIOS thats causing it? I think I better fill out the form as Raja advised, but do I post it here or start a new thread?

Hi all, and sadly it's happening again.
it froze when I was using it and when I pressed reset it shut down and rebooted and stopped at 01 and rebooted again.
Thing is I've replace a BIOS chip of BIOS1 from another RIVE, so the chip and the firmware should be fine.
I'm trying BIOS2 now.

Issue

Randomly unable to POST, debug shows 01 before it re-boots itself, even tho sometimes I boot up successfully, it would randomly freeze out and re-boot itself and re-boot over and over. It always re-boots when debug stops at 01.

I've tried using different BIOS, even replaced BIOS chip, so I guess BIOS isn't the one thats causing the problem, so what else can code 01 indicates? does it have something to do with my CPU?

Well, I havent checked that, i put them all auto
I did a flashback of 4403 again, and it seems to be good again, but we will see.

Auto doesn't always work.
You should really learn how to manually adjust the settings, especially so if you're having freezing issues like this with them set to auto.
In particular: in UEFI load optimized defaults, then set vcore, vccsa, vtt, DRAM channels AB & CD to appropriate values.

Just thought of something, would the CPU cooler tightened too hard that pressures the CPU cause the problem?

I really doubt it. Start with what I mentioned in my last post. My guess is your RAM isn't playing nice.
