How do I disable or delete the USB 3.0 drivers?

I am having trouble with a USB X52 Pro joystick and from searching the internet, a few forums are saying to try and either disable USB 3.0 or remove the USB 3.0 drivers as there are issues with them and they cause problems when older USB devices are connected.

I cannot find a option in the BIOS to disable it as most sites suggested, and have no idea in Device Manager what exactly needs to be disabled or uninstalled as I do not want to accidentally remove/disable the USB 2.0 drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the UEFI go to Advanced > USB and try setting xHCI to disabled.

I will give that a try, so will this also disable the USB 3.0 ports or just force them to use the USB 2.0 driver, and this should not affect my current USB keyboard and mouse which are using the 2.0 ports on the mobo?

Also the EHCI Hand Off option, I still leave that disabled as well?

AHCI hand off is the post process giving control to the OS - in very simple terms.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Well yeah, but why would one use that option. How does it help and what does it let the OS control?
