My previous topic hasnt had any help or success so I thought it would be best to start another in hopes of getting some more help.
I have a problem and I dont know how to solve it. I have a Rampage III Extreme Black Edition and for some reason it wont hold the first PCIe slot at x16, it always kicks it down to x8.
Here are my system spec's
intel i7 990x @3.47 (stock)
12 GB Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 2000
2x eVGA GTX590 Classified Hydro Copper
Corsair AX1200 PSU
I have the video cards in slots 1 and 3, which are supposed to be the x16 slots when using only 2 video cards. When I first set everything up both PCIe slots 1 & 3 were reading x16 in the bios GPU.DIMM post. Now when I go into Bios and check the GPU.Dimm post the first slot always says x8 and the third is at x16.
Anyone able to help me?
My monitor is connected to the first card in the first slot.
