High Temps! new MVF build.

Hello everyone. I have been having concerns with my temps.

My setup is 13770k
Asus MVF
noctua nh d14
16G corsair vengence lp (2x8 kit)
corsair tx750m
evga gtx 750 FTW
2 sammy 840 pro ssd's
Haf xm 200mmx2 on top, 1x 200mm side panel, and the front/rear case fans

I have changed the TIM four different rime-thus re-seating the heatsink as many times. I have checked the fans countless times. And as you can see, my temps without the 3.9 turbo are high. The bios is all auto. I'm not sure if I'm missing something here. I eve tried to use the xmp for the RAM, but that caused temps to go up as well. I know this is a voltage thing, but I'm out of ideas as far as what I can change if my temps are pushing 70C on a blended prime95 torture test..

The system is stable other than the fact that I have zero room to overclock-especially with the 3.9 turbo enabled... bummer. I have included all the pics I though would help.

Thanks in advance!

Here is Bios.
Bios is version 0701.
I have more pics, but it looks like I'm out of allotted room for uploads right now.

hi there.

if u didn't OC u'r CPU then change the voltage on it, in bios CPU VOLTAGE=AUTO and lower u'r CPU PLL VOLTAGE it should help with u'r temps. with votage like u'rs 1.330 i get OC to 4.8 GHz on I7 3770K 🙂

Thank you very much Ph4ntom.!
I had already got the temps a few degrees lower by changing the cpu load line to regular and changing the cpu power phase to optimized (it
was set at extreme) but I had missed the voltage being so high.. Don't ask how, but I blew right past it. I think it was because I noticed it was set to manual, and since the other setting is offset-and since I had not oc'd I figured that it was correct. Now I'm running it at 3.9 with XMP
and the voltage is around 1.02----my temps with p95 are now around the low to mid 50's except for the one core that is always a little hotter.
At least now I have some head room for OC'ing once I get around to it.

Thanks again.

Until such time that you are in the high 40's multiplier wise you do not need to change vCore voltage much at all. LLC I set to regular and lower my PLL down from 1.8 (auto) to around the 1.65 mark.

And it is normal for one core to be way hotter or way cooler than the others.

Hey HiViz
So should I have not changed my cpu power phase? It was strange, I put the cpu voltage into offset-then right back into manual and the voltage changed from 1.33 to 1.02. I did however change the PLL, as you suggested, to 1.65. I'm running p95 again. Ill let you know what they look like in about 15 minutes.

So, here are the numbers after just north of 20 minutes. What do you think? Is there something else I should be doing? These numbers are night and day better than the OP, but I wonder if they are still too high..

u'r temps look OK.

They are well within the expected range, remember that Prime is going to stress the heck out of your system and that means huge amounts of heat. Normal use will not come close to that.

Copy that. Thanks again both of you!
