Hero VII vcore difference betwen manual and adaptive

Hello. I have a i7 4790k win7 64.

I made somes "test" to lower my vcore with the 4.4 turbo, so get nice temp ( i use default bios setting except for the vcore )

So in manual, i can set my vcore to 1.110 and everything work fine OCCT / gaming.. etc.
But in adaptive, the min vcore i can have is 1.124 ( during CPU load without avx like instruction, with avx it goes up to 1.143 )

Why is there such difference ? is that normal ? Its an issue with the Asus adaptive ? do i have problem with my hero VII ?

I mean, not that i consider my vcore high for 4.4, its fine, but i'am pretty curious about that difference.

thanks ^^ ( tried to contact the Asus support ( maybe i should try the english one ) but since 2 month thoses [censored] are unable to give me explanation on how work that adaptive... >< )

Ok fine idk itself also why its put automaticly at 4.4 ghz 1.250v under load its 1.310 volts for what. Idk itself also but something not right in detection possible its not detect 4790k correct and its use profile older cpu like 4770 etc thats wahy voltage in high something not work in bios properly HW detection etc. Or asus gets less problems because its work on any cpu.

Hello guys

It's normal for the cpu voltage to fluctuate a little depending on load even when you set a specific voltage in the bios.

My 3770k fluctuates too.

In manual mode the voltage will stay at whatever voltage you set. When using adaptive or offset mode the voltage and speed will throttle down.

tobe hornest 4790k not need 1.3 volts or 1.250v to opereate 4.4 turbo mode witch factory overclock. If you use stock cooler even 1.250v @ 4.4 ghz is bit too high.

At stock settings your cpu will get over volted some. As you can see wootwoots lowered his to 1.110v - 1.124v and is stable.

You can lower your voltage too.

hello ^^

But, someone know why i cant have the same vcore in adaptive ( at least without avx like instruction ) as in manual ?
Its not a huge difference, but its still 0.014.
that's my main question about the difference between manual and adaptive ^^

But yeah could be a good idea to lower the vcore, if like me you only use the turbo 4.4ghz mode without more OC.
It help ( quite a lot ) for the temp :]
Especialy since they over volt it with the default setting like Natel152 said
