Hello

Welcome to the forum, I can tell you right now that you are going to struggle to get 5.1GHz on the cooler you are using.

What you should do is read Raja's guide and work your way slowly up the multipliers and adjust your voltage in small steps. Keep an eye on the temperature, use only one application for monitoring your temperature and look at the individual core temperatures.

I would think that 4.6 or 4.8 GHz would be the maximum that the H100 cooler could handle.

What is your ambient in the room where the PC will be kept?

Are you looking for a 24/7 OC at 5-5.1GHz? I would say, forget it! With that cooler and an Ivy Bridge... - it will run very hot...

You may be more lucky with your 3570k then I'm with my 3770k, and need lower voltages for that speed, but the H100 is still not enough... maybe, if you just want a CPU-Z validation or something similar (for short term and no stressing), you can do it...

Even for benchmarks it is going to be tight completing the run. I would suggest reading Zka's log and trying the chilled water route if you want to bench.

So, you're on Maximus V Gene with a 3770k... if you want to OC, my first question is: how you're cooling your CPU?

In my case, 4.8GHz is stable only with Vcore at 1.53... whit those settings, the 3770k produces a lot of heat! As you can see in my thread (link in my signature), I'm using custom water cooling: a 3x120mm radiator with 6 fans in push-pull configuration - temps are maxing out during stressing (AIDA64) at 85C on cores, idle below 30C...

With your H100 practically is impossible to get a 5GHz OC on the CPU... simply, the H100 isn't enough for that heat... if you have very good airflow through the H100's radiator, but I mean really good airflow, maybe you could do 4.8GHz... sincerely, for a 24/7 OC, I would stop at 4.6GHz...

I could post some snapshots of my BIOS settings, but the thing is that every CPU is different... I think, mine is a little degraded already as I used very high voltages during benching... if you really want to learn OC'ing, I would advise you to start reading the stickies on this section...
