i am able to post but can not seem to load my os acts like it is not seeing my optical drives i have tried ahci and ide sata configurations same result put disk in and soon message pops up reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key. i have changed the boot priority to the optical drive with the windows 7 disk in it and tried all three of the 3G sata ports with no luck on any of them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Did you tried disable S.M.A.R.T. Check Function in the SATA config menu?

I did that and it does have change the symptoms after toggling S.M.A.R.T off when it is trying to read the disk you get a cursor on the screen you don't get the reboot message but it never does anything more than sit there with the cursor blinking though you can hear disk activity on the optical drive.

I would guess that you have the ASmedia SATA ports enabled.
