help offset

Hello

Guys I would use the offset ...
but do not know how to set it!
now fixed voltage to 1.320/1.328

If I want to use the offset as I have to set, to have a low voltage at idle and in full in 1.328?

thanks

Hey there andrea89

To use offset you have to also be using a normal value for BCLK....I say this just in case you are OCing using the strap 1.25 or something like this.

So finding offset is not a simple sum most times. Basically if CPUz is showing you 1.32 to 1.33 during load you have to try a few offset values and test at load again until CPUz shows the same voltage.

So try the minimum offset first like + 0.005 and see where that gets you or values like +0.01.....0.025 or you can try a negative offset like -0.005 if you noticed that your default Vcore on auto was a lot higher than your manual voltage.

This is a good thread on offset.... http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?2162-Overclocking-Using-Offset-Mode-for-CPU-Core-Voltage&co...

Just make sure speedstep is enabled in BIOS for this to work and be careful if you are using Windows Performance power plan that in Advanced settings Minimum Processor State is set to something like 10% 🙂

Yes BCLK is in default

perfect I like you told me ...
I know!

Thank you!

PS
Do take a look at the offset thread

That is good voltage for that clock! From what I have seen lower clocks can use negative offset often and then higher clocks seem to need positive more often than not. Your chip seems to be good with voltage so I'm not sure what to recommend...

Maybe try minimum negative offset (-0.005) or if not switch to positive and try a few values just check CPUz under load to see what your new voltage is and test stability....

Voltage - offset
Offset + 0.005

Set LLC to medium or regular
Leave all else on auto
Run some stress test for a few minutes to test temps and some rough stability testing. Best stability is to play your favourite game or do the work that your system was bought to do.

guys I did a little test
offset -
+ o.oo5
llc on medium or regular
but it gave me bsod after several hours of play ....
1.320/1.328 V while the voltage was monitored played with cpu-z

Now if I would take one step more in V else what should I do?
type 1.328/1.336

If it BSODs ( what code by the way?) on both Medium and Regular LLC at +0.005 just ry to increase a bit +0.01....+0.015

But not all BSODs are vcore related but I guess you know that....:o

Clock Watchdog

yes bsod code 0x00000101
I then try 0015 I know!

Thank you!
