Hi all i am having some issues with the ACPI driver for my new Maximus Hero Vii Board Event viewer is reporting several issues as follows

ACPI Event ID 13
: The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS. In some situations, this error may cause the computer to function incorrectly.

ACPI Event ID 15
: The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS.

Kernel-PnP Event ID 219
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&2.

System Specs
Asus Maximus VII HERO (BIOS 0904)
Intel Core i7 4790k @ Stock
Corsair Dominator GT (CMT4GX3M2A2000C8)
Windows 7 SP1 on Corsair Force 3 SSD

I Have installed all the latest drivers and updated to the latest bios but I'm still getting these errors anyone got any ideas what I need to do to fix this?

True this, driver is available at the site but for win 8/8.1 NOT win10... is it 100% compatible with win 10?

ASUS Probe II Sense Driver V1.0.1.0 for Windows 7/8/8.1/10 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
It is also Windows 10 compatible.

I have the same errors on my Maximus VII Hero, I see that the AMDA00 driver has a update on the motherboard driver page. The update is dated July 1, and I installed it yesterday but I am still seeing the error in the event log.

I had to disable hybrid shutdown in Windows 8.1 in order to resolve the quick boot errors.

I've encountered ACPI errors in the past and a simple driver update has fixed the problem, However, having read many, many posts on this topic, it would seem some particular errors are still persisting.

I have a couple of questions:
Will this new AMDA00 driver help the OP resolve his issue with W7 or is the driver patch for W8.1 only. ?
And are these ACPI Probe II sense driver (AMDA00) errors confined to the Maximus VII series.?

Hopefully now this has come to Raja@ASUS attention, a resolve is at hand for the many others with this problem who may read this thread.

To: Sparax, Hang in there Mate.
To: antisect and chongmagic, Thanks for your valuable input and keep it coming.;)

Hi guys

Ok before installing the ASUS Probe II Sense Driver 1.0.1.0 (2014/07/01) i was getting the ACPI Event ID 13 & 15 error at every reboot after installing it they do still occur but far less frequently i might get it once every 5-6 reboots.

The Kernel-PnP Event ID 219 error still persists on every reboot

yes its not every boot, seems from my experience to be worse the longer the time period between shutdown and boot (like shutdown in the evening and boot in the morning always triggers an error)

the The Kernel-PnP Event ID 219 error is because you have windows fast startup switched on, fast startup just doesn't work properly because of the AMDA00 errors

Hey guys,

I know this thread is really old but I am having the same issues which is causing my PC to reboot randomly. I have the latest BIOS, and all the drivers installed but I still get the Event 219 error on Event Viewer which seems to be causing random reboots.

Is there any fix for this? I have tried all the fixes mentioned in this thread but none of them work.

Thanks
