(HELP) Crosshair V Formula Z Memory Issues

So i have the crosshair V formula Z board im running Patriot PXD38G2400C11K(XMP) 8GB ( 2x 4GB ) they are both in the red slots i have the most current bios 1101 but for some reason the system thinks my ram is only 800 instead of 2400

specs
Processor AMD FX-8350
grahics EVGA gtx570 SC
8 gigs of the PXD38G2400C11K(XMP)
running windows 7 enterprise 64 bit
current bios 1101

please help i currently have the ram in bios set to the 2400 oc but it only runs it at 1200.

Are you looking at the memory tab from CPU-Z?

yes and it will only go to 1200 i can't even get it to 1600 😞

Reading 1200 is perfectly fine, CPU-Z only reads one side of your Double Date Rate RAM...hence only 1200 🙂

ok this is asus pc diagnostics and its reading it at 800 for some reason

Is that a Windows program? if so, i'd say it's the same again, only reading half of your RAM's speed

Your CPUZ screenie says its running at 2408Mhz

The Asus screenie says 1600Mhz, but maybe that is only reading base capacity? My rig does the same, I have PC3-17000 that is recognized as PC3-12800 although I run it faster (can't get the damn 2133 with it though 😞 )

Your ram is running at over 2400MHz dude what more could anyone possibly want. There are folks here on this forum that would give an arm for 2400MHz on their AMD boards
