HDMI Sound playback issue

So i just finished building my computer a day ago but, I seem to have a problem on my hands. When hooking up to my t.v. with a HDMI cord i will get picture but no sound. After looking into this for some time, and re installing almost everything Audio, chipset, ect, the problem still remains. When i open my high definition audio device under general it says

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Any idea what to do?:confused:

1. In the bios Advanced tab, onboard device configuration. HD audio controller: Enabled. SPDIF out type: HDMI.

2 Right click on the speaker icon and click playback devices. Select Digital Audio (HDMI) as the default device click apply.

Any sound yet?

The weird thing is I don't have the option to set Hdmi as a audio output; it's like the drivers for my Realtek high definition audio are working (my computer says they are in charge of my 3.5 inputs and optical, and they all work) but my normal high definition audio is not. Everything is enabled

You can try running the troubleshooter in windows to see if it can find what the problem is.

A yellow triangle with an exclamation point in device manager usually means there is a driver missing.

Thank you for responding once more. It seems, that I have tried everything that is out there. When I tried to troubleshot it said that it can't find a fix. Since then I have moved on to a VGA cord and a 3.5 mm audio cable. The yellow exclamation point is gone, but i think this has more to to with the drivers that it uses (the 3.5 jacks are controlled by the Realtek Audio drivers, not the normal ones.) But i am sure that if I plug in a HDMI cable it will come back up, ( never going to do that). Again I want to say thank you for all the help that you have given me, and hopefully you don't have to help me in the future lol. 🙂
