Hi guys

HD AUDIO SET UP
---------------
I have plugged the HD Audio cable of Antec Three hundred case in AAFFP connector of VI Hero
I have configured HD Audio in BIOS
I have Configured HD Audio in Realtek Audio Manager
I have updated Realtek Audio drivres
Realtek Audio Manager doesn´t detect when i plug the headphones

I don´t have audio in the headphones connected to front panel
I have good audio in speakers connected to rear jack in MOBO.

AC 97
-----
I plug the AC97 cable of Antec Three hundred case in AAFFP connector of VI Hero
I configure AC97 in BIOS
I configure AC97 in Realtek Audio Manager
Realtek Audio Manager detects when i plug the headphones

I have audio in the headphones connected to front panel
I have good audio in speakers connected to rear jack in MOBO.

Does anyone knows why I have problems with HD Audio??

Thank you

Hello TankerDHG,

You have enabled the HD audio controller in the bios, there is also a setting for front panel type, set this to HD as well.

I have sound with my headphones, I connected the HD audio cable from my case to the AAFP header. I enabled HD audio controller and set front panel type to HD in the bios. I did not install the realtek audio driver.

Your case front panel connector is '97 NOT HD which is why it works in '97 not HD. You will need to purchase a new case as I don't believe there is an adapter to convert '97 to HD.

Hi Clubfoot

Probably you have the reason, but as this links stated

http://www.antec.com/demo/ThreeHundred/

Theorically my case support HDA Auio and AC97

True, it looks like his case has both connectors on the same cable as we do. Then he should switch to the HD one 🙂

Hi Clubfoot

If you look at the initial post, i already connected the HD Audio connector, configure Realtek audio wiht HD etc..... and it doesn´t work

I think that finally, i will connect the AC97 connector and I will have to settle with AC97 Audio

Thank you very much to all
Kind regards
