Hey everyone I recently built my first computer and below is a list of what it has. My problem is that After installing my asus BW-12B1ST optical drive I couldnt get the cd-rom to work. I thought maybe I bought a bad asus optical drive so I exchanged it for a new one and I replaced the sata cable with a new one. I turned on the computer and the cd drive finally started to work. I restarted the computer to see if it would still work but it didnt. I have no idea whats going on. Its powering on but for some reason the computer isnt reconizing it. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

Dane3 that filter driver is part of RST and it's normal. Since your case is new you didn't mention any information. Have you tried another drive and cable? Does the drive not appear under My Computer or it appears but doesn't read discs? If it's the later then try reading with it a bought CD (not CD-R) and a bought DVD (not DVD+-R(W)).
