Haswell fits the RIVE?

Nah mate, that's the Haswell E, which im guessing will be the successor to Haswell, but on the X79 platform. Haswell is Z87 aka LGA 1150 I think, or it's 1156

Yeah, slikk, Haswell and Haswell-E are two different things! The Haswell is for Z87, while the Haswell-E (extreme) may be for the X79/LGA2011 if it will be ever made...

Haswell-E wont fit x79 because intel will release a new chipset that will have native support for USB 3 and SATA 6.0, Just like Z87 which doesn't have any USB2 ports there all USB 3.

The socket will fit. Intel is keeping the LGA2011 socket but the pinout will be different so do not expect compatibility with the RIVE. Also leaks suggest that Haswell-E will also switch to DDR4.
