GTX 680 PCIe 3.0 & Rampage Mobo

How many of you with Rampage 4 Extremes have had no problems running your GTX 680 at PCIe 3.0 via the "hack"

Negative experience is often up on the forum but not so much when something works so I thought it would make an interesting stat. Plus I´ve just ordered a DCII top and wondered what the chances were....:)

EDIT 2: One person has found that running two cards initially broke 3.0 but changing the order of the cards in the Motherboard slots got it back up and running. Suspicion is that some GPU chips may better handle the extra load that the first card has to bear in the relationship with the CPU.....

Considering that the signaling is between the CPU and the GPU and that different strain is aplied to each card in SLI, it's theoretically plausible that it could manifest itself only on one configuration as the margin of error in each GPU could be different.. It is an interesting thing to consider though as we never tested this before on systems that couldn't do GEN3...

I just tried my 680 on Rampage IV Extreme today. Mine is working with latest drivers at 3.0 no problem.

Yeah its working fine mate at 1660mhz which is as far as I can take the slider on AB Xtreme. I need a new Bios to push the card further or software that offers greater than +550 mhz on core. The card is not maxed out by any means I only need 1.325 for Vantage and 11 at those Clocks and have upto 1.7 available to me.

Any of you guys know how to get an overclock of over 550 on core????

A single Asus GTX680 DCII TOP hotwired and pushed hard is still working with PCIe 3.0, Gen3 - I'm using the previous driver, not the newest one yet...
