all I can say is if the component is any bit as good as the packaging, then this will be an awesome MB! Cant wait.. hope it will solve all my problems.. i'll create another post explaining full problem and keep that going from there.

Wish me the best.. ( fingers and toes crossed! not the legs tho... that would be going too far.. )

i have the older brother since 2011 and its a great board
most of enjoy it : -)

Hope it works well for you! I started with a M5A99FX PRO R2.0 then went to the SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0. I had no real reason to change but I'm tickled with the Crosshair V Formula Z so far.

Enjoy the new toy...by the way I would strongly encourage bench testing your new purchase first. Good luck and enjoy!

Enjoy, Enjoy. If you like the box you will love the toy inside .. the cereal isn't bad either. haha

I have the Vanilla version non-Z board. I have done everything a human can do to a MB without
going to jail. You are in for a treat.

All the Best friend. Keep us posted. .c.

so.. all did was swap boards and then installed the intel lan driver... everything "seems" good, but i did notice a couple application icons went screwy.. is it best to do a fresh install of windows when changing either MB or CPU ?

yes
fresh is better, a lot better, and with a ssd Windows 8 takes 10 to 15 minutes to install

ok.. i'll do fresh in stall.. my pc mark 8 3.0 score was 3232.. seems WAY low..

also... noticed that on my mb the code 66 is on.. is this normal? the manual says that means CPU DXE initialization is started. um..dont know what that means....
