GENE-Z i7 2600K Questions!

Retired

Just a few simple questions about this setup, (My RIG is in the Sig) When making changes under BIOS, then F10 to save and exit, It will reboot like normal, but power down completely for 2-3 secs, then boot up and load to windows. Is this normal? If not then what is going on with it?

Second, I have the Corsair H50 cooler on it, I was curious on these temps and maybe other setups like mine. I am getting the following temps.

BTW, its roughly 78F in my house, so thats roughly 25-26 C I think, if this helps.

Stock i7 2600k 3.4 (Turbo 3.8)

  • Idle: 31-34C (After about a hour of running)
  • Full Load: 64-67 (Prime95 Torture Test, 30 mins)

Now after playing Bad Company 2 Maxed out, It was in the 40-45C Range.

Just curious with nearly the same setup, if these temps look ok.

Hi,

To alleviate double-POST when you first power the board on, you need to set BCLK to 100.0MHz exactly. You can do this by entering UEFI, go to Ai Tweaker and set AI Tuner to Manual, then set BCLK to 100.0MHz and save then exit UEFI.

Those temps are fine, nothing to worry about.
