Game Crashing and Rebooting

Retired
Not applicable
I've recently bought my new gaming comp, but now i'm having trouble while playing games such as Battlefield 3 or Team Fortress 2. I would play for about 10 minutes or so then my computer would freeze while being on the in-game screen, reboot or shutdown. Then when turn it back on and tried to play Battlefield 3 again, its says the files are corrupted so I had to re-install it but then it would happen all over again. My friend told to check and update all of my drivers, so I did and updated them all but i still get the same problem.

My Specs:
Maximus Gene-Z
i5 2500k @ 3.3 GHz
Asus 6970 2GB
EVO Blue gaming Power Supply 750W
G.Skill DDR3 1600-8GB Ripjaw 12800

So if anyone can help me, I would be really appreciated 🙂

What bios, what drive and what intel rst driver do you have?

You would have to check your memory with http://hcidesign.com/memtest/download.html

Set you cpu up like this.. http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showthread.php?3462-vcore-wont-change-when-cpu-is-at-IDLE

also Team fortress had a bug a few weeks ago which crashes the game for everyone who clicks a certain way, don't know if it was fixed as I stopped playing as they take their time fixing stuff, but it crashed out for me, no reboot.

I don't have BF3, but looks like they are working on it! http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2224117

Did you get Win764 bit Pro.. if not go grab OEM for $140 or whatever.
