Freqency Error in BIOS

Rampage IV Extreme, know it's an old MB but it's all I've got currently. DCS World caused a hard reboot the other day and now in the BIOS the CPU Targeted Frequency and the DRAMM Targeted Frequency are both showing up as yellow instead of white like before. I installed a new MSI CPU Frozr fan setup so it's running nice and cool now and tried flashing the BIOS but they're still in yellow. I'm guessing that it's showing this because it's not reading the frequencies correctly. Any thoughts?

Hello mate, I loved that board big time. Could you do a bios reset using the button on the motherboad.

Oh and what BIOS are you running please.

Sorry, should have posted that. 4.91, the most recent from 2014. But I think I kind of figured something about it. Doesn't yellow mean that you are running below what you could push it to if you wanted? So I could up the voltage and frequency now or am I misunderstanding that. The reason I say that is with the new CPU Frozr cooler the fan was showing yellow in the AI suite but when I pushed it to 800 rpm it turned white like everything else. The values are all white in the AI suite and only the two yellow when I go into the bios.

Intel I7 4820K 3.7 (showing 3.7 in Windows)
32 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 Pro

The good thing with that board and the bios you have is that you can just go ahead and test your theory. Think you have it right, I remember when I was running a TRUE full copper cooler and a very very slow fan I had the same thing with regard to RPM being in a different colour.

Man this thread is bringing back memories. Still have that board and the same CPU you are using too.

Keep me in the loop how it goes please. Like I said that was a real favourite board of mine. I pulled it out and will see if I get time to put on test bench today and will get back to you if I do

Will do. I have all the original documents so I'm going to dig it out today and go over it. I'll let you know what I find out.
