Hello everyone, I just recently installed another force 3 gt, and an 8150. I installed and raided my force gts, upon a clean install , Windows crashes right before it loads. The Bsod flickers to quick for me to be able to see it. Formally I had a single gt drive that worked perfectly fine before I raided them, I've looked around all day for answers, so I've finally decided to ask here, this is my first post any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Guys,

I have Running 2 x OCZ Vertex 3 in RAID 0 -> no problemo
I have have running 1 x Corsair Force 3 GT in JBOD-> no problemo

First thing to do when starting to RAID with SSD's:
1. disconnect all SSD's and HDD's
2. secure erase the SSD's (if you don't certain chips will still contain data and may cause problems)
3. check for updates on the firmware and flash the firmware to latest version
- both OCZ and Corsair have their tools for that
4. Connect only the SSD's you want to RAID on SATA 1 and SATA 2 (on some other MOBO's called 0 and 1)
5. Start the PC in AHCI and see if both/all SSD's are posting in the BIOS
6. Switch BIOS to RAID, Reboot
7. You have to have the x64 RAID DRIVER, including the correct digital sign (or else it will not load in x64)
8. Install the RAID DRIVER
9. Reboot and you see the RAID ROM posting
10. During post press CTRL + F
11. Configure youre RAID array (asuming you know how to)
12. Reboot on Windows install DVD
13. Install Windows

Thats just about it

If I want to reinstall windows on my raided SSD's, can I just use the option in windows setup to format the drives (when you select the drive to put windows on) or is there something else I need to do?

What you do is let the OS do the work. So when it comes to the select drive window, go advance and clear your existing OS drive. Then select that now unformatted drive and install OS. The OS will align the two SSD's and format as part of the install.
