First boot, no screen, no beep

Hello all,
So, I've built my new rig:
Maximus IV Hero
4770k 3.5ghz
G.Skill ddr3 1600ghz sniper
TT 850w
Gigabyte 570gtx

I've read it all, do it like in the manual,
started it... and all the lights on, but...

No screen (there is no signal, the screen is on SB mode),
The leds are on AO, and I can hear the HD working.

Had tried to change slots, re-insatll the CPU, make an BIOS update... nothing.
It seems to "think", but to screen signal.

What should I do?

Please ensure you have the power cable connected to your graphic card and that your cable is connected to both the graphic card and the monitor. The q-code AO is telling you that your system has been handed over to AHCI (OS if you have one)

or test with the onboard graphics if the graphic card of yours is not working. also make shure your Monitor is working.

Thank you,
But nothing yet.
I've tested it with the HDMI on board, nothing.
I've changed the PCI-E slot, nothing
The GPU is working great on other rig.

HiVizMan, the AO tells me that the windows7 is on, so the CPU is ok? because it seems to be thinking.

Yes AO is simply informing you that your system has handed over from the POST process and now the AHCI or if you like the hard drive is now running the show.

What PC screen are you using?

Yeah the motherboard does not have a speaker.

I wonder if the default resolution of the system is not compatible with the monitor you are using.

In fact I am pretty sure that is the case.

edit: well 88% sure 😛

So, maybe it is the monitor? well, I'll try to find an other one.

And if I'll try to put in an old simple GPU... you think it will give me a clue?

The thing that keeps me happy, is the AO message... the OS is hot 🙂
So, I'll try it tomorrow and update here ASAP.

Thank you 🙂

Yes, he's right... for example.. I'm using my old VGA Graphic Card.. an nVidia GeForce 8600 GS cause I just have a LCD Monitor with DVI-D, and my mobo just has Display and HDMi port.. no DVI port anywhere. Well, I think Display and HDMi are hight quality graphics and an single DVI-D cannot work finely.. so you could use a converter from Display to DVI or HDMi to DVI, in both ways you could see the screen.. (just in case you dont have a old pci graphic card to use with VGA port). Good luck mate. 😄
